Trivandrum is an ideal place to settle. 214 km² of the area with pretty decent amenities, this capital city of Kerala is an apt place. There is bliss as well as peace. All the communities are welcome here and we know how to co-exist. There exists secularism, a core feature of democracy. The place has its own set of drawbacks such as the fact that the state of the roads is deteriorating and the rising unemployment situation and the waste management issues but the pros overpower the cons.
Trivandrum has so many qualities than what it gets credited for. It has the almost right amount of population. Traffic is mediocre and not on the extreme sides like in the other cities like Kochi or Bangalore. I know these cities are more advanced and you cannot really compare them but the Traffic situation should be one of the factors that determine the settling value because sitting in your car for over 2 hours to reach your destination which is barely 10 km away will drive you crazy and fill you with the anger to murder someone. This looks like an article to vent out my feelings now. Okay, that might be a little extra of me to say those things but I am entitled to my opinion and you shouldn’t mind listening to it and maybe even incorporate it into your mindset if you feel like. Anyway, we are big on historical structures with Napier Museum and the Padmanabhaswamy temple with an abundance of riches, being the few instances. We have a strong culture with a major portion of people holding narrow-minded views and the others who mind their own business and are decently open-minded. This does not prevent them from being friendly and helpful. They show concern, most times. In simpler terms, the people here are old-fashioned and the opinions they collectively hold cannot be altered. It is so unlikely. This place is for simple people with a simple lifestyle. This is not meant for a person with larger than life aspirations and clubbing. The cost of living is decent. It is affordable. A highlight is that Technopark, the largest information technology park in India in terms of the developed area is situated in this pleasant city. If you are in the IT field, think no further, this place is your calling. Well, you have to secure a job first and then proceed.
Let’s come to the most important part, FOOD. Trivandrum’s food scenes are progressing with a Dutch themed cafe, Turf (Probably, the best burgers you have ever tasted!), Swiss cafe named Kaffeehaus, an Indian and other cuisines’ fusion delights from Atelier by Ambrosia, Proper continental stuff you get from Supreme Upper Crust and proper Malayalee food (Parotta and Beef and a lot more!!) from roadside shops and hotels to name a few.
Did you feel like packing your bags and shift to this capital city yet? Well in case you are searching for a home away from home, we are going to recommend you invest in an apartment done by one of the best builders in Trivandrum. It also happens to be a luxury apartment in Trivandrum which is none other than Sun Homes and the buildings are located in prime locations. Go buy now as they are affordable as well!
